The liner Oosterdam 5* is the second Vista-class ship in the Holland America Line fleet; it was christened by the Dutch Princess Margriet in 2003. It combines technological innovations such as a diesel-electric power plant for more economical fuel consumption, as well as the latest Azipod system, which makes the ship more maneuverable.
At the heart of the three-deck Atrium of the Oosterdam is a huge crystal globe suspended above, symbolizing 135 years of travel on Holland America Line ships around the world. Specially for the Oosterdam, Holland America Line has created its own unforgettable style, and it is easily recognizable: warm tones, marble, brass, extensive use of crystals, various types of wood, an enormous number of fresh flowers on board, priceless works of art, antiques, a teak promenade deck, and soft armchairs.
On board the Oosterdam, you will find a wide variety of entertainment, as well as all kinds of bars and fine dining restaurants!
