Costa’s history of passenger travel began on March 31, 1948, when Anna C sailed from Genoa to Buenos Aires. Today, Costa Cruises is part of the Carnival Corporation group, and the company’s headquarters is located in Genoa.

Costa’s program includes cruises across the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Norwegian fjords, the Caribbean, the Canary Islands, and South America. For longer journeys, transoceanic and around-the-world routes are available. Destinations and ports of departure depend on the season and the schedule of a particular liner.

As of September 30, 2026, the active Costa Cruises fleet consists of eight liners: Costa Toscana, Costa Smeralda, Costa Diadema, Costa Deliziosa, Costa Fascinosa, Costa Favolosa, Costa Pacifica, and Costa Serena. Dining and service packages

The basic My Cruise format includes accommodation in your chosen cabin, full board, shows, and the main entertainment program. In Costa’s dining program, there are signature dishes called Destination Dishes, inspired by places you visit.

During booking, you can choose additional packages:

• My Drinks: drinks from the list defined by the package terms.

• My Land: a selection of shore excursions according to the itinerary and offer terms.

• My Drinks + My Land: a combination of drinks and excursions packages.

The offer contents depend on the sales market, sailing, and fare. Before payment, check exactly which drinks, excursions, and other services are included in your booking.

Holidays with children

For children aged 3 to 11, Squok Club is available; for teens aged 12 to 17, Teen Zone is provided. The main club activities are included in the cruise price; some special activities may require an additional fee. The availability of areas for the youngest children and participation rules depend on the ship and the child’s age.

Family promotions may include a discounted cruise fare for children. The terms of such an offer, port taxes, service charge, and other payments are checked for the specific booking.

Restaurants and entertainment

In addition to main dining, the ships feature specialized restaurants and dining formats. Their list, booking rules, and surcharges vary depending on the vessel. A restaurant or attraction offered on one Costa ship may be unavailable on another.

The daily program helps you plan your vacation: choose a show, a musical performance, a sports session, or entertainment for children. For restaurants with a special menu and separate events, prior booking may be required.

Preparing for your trip

Through MyCosta, you can review additional services available for your sailing and pre-book excursions, drinks packages, and internet. Check the final contents of your order in your booking.

Onboard internet access is provided according to the selected Wi-Fi package terms. Satellite connection may depend on the sailing area and weather conditions, so for important work calls it’s worth having a backup plan.

Also consider separately the costs not included in your fare: service charge, additional drinks, specialized restaurants, excursions, internet, and spa services.

Costa applies a mandatory service charge for onboard services (Hotel Service Charges). It is charged to the onboard account in accordance with the booking terms

Dress code

Daytime on board is best suited for comfortable everyday clothing. For walks in the ports, choose shoes that are comfortable to walk in, and for the deck in the evening, bring a light jacket or sweater.

For dinner in the main restaurant, neat everyday attire is suitable: a shirt, polo shirt, trousers, a dress, or a skirt. Swimwear is better reserved for the pool and the sunny deck.

For festive evenings, you can bring along a more elegant outfit. A tie is not required; the specific evening format is communicated in the onboard program. If there is a themed party planned, the appropriate clothing will help you join in on its atmosphere.

For shore excursions, take into account the weather, the activity level of the route, and the rules for visiting temples and other cultural sites.

Loyalty Program

The Costa Cruises loyalty program is called C|Club. You can join for free from the age of 18, in particular before your first cruise, provided that registration is available for your country of residence.

The program has five levels: Blue, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Your level depends on the number of active points.

Club offers and benefits are available to participants according to their level. For selected cruises and fares, discounts of up to 20% may apply. The composition of the benefits and the ability to combine them with promotions are governed by the program rules.

Points are converted annually on April 30, taking into account the established three-year period. For travel benefits, your current level before boarding is considered. There are restrictions for short, charter, and certain promotional cruises.

Provide your C|Club number when booking to check the conditions available specifically to you.

Cancellation terms

Cancellation conditions for Costa Cruises depend on the fare, itinerary, departure date, and the supplier’s rules under which the booking was made. The amount retained is determined by the conditions agreed upon at the time of purchase.

For special offers, non-refundable fares may apply. Round-the-world trips and certain Costa Serena sailings have special rules. Refund terms for airfare and additional services must also be checked separately.

If your plans have changed, contact the manager at Cruise-Life.pro with a request to cancel or modify your booking. Before confirming the transaction, clarify the amount of any possible charges and the procedure for refunds. Do not consider missing the payment deadline as a way to cancel a confirmed booking without any fees.

Age restriction

• Minimum child age: as a general rule, from 6 months as of the embarkation day.

• For transoceanic, long and remote itineraries: usually from 12 months. Current European conditions include cruises of 14 days or more, as well as certain itineraries with more than two consecutive days at sea. Exceptions are possible depending on the availability of medical assistance along the route.

• Passengers under 18 years old: travel with a father, mother, legal guardian, or another properly authorized adult. The adult handles the booking for the minor.

Before booking a cruise with an infant, tell the manager the exact date of birth of the child. For minors, it is also necessary to check documents and travel permissions in accordance with the itinerary and the composition of the accompanying persons.
