Description — Amsterdam
Ship ms Amsterdam 5* - the third liner of the Holland America Line company, which bears the name of the capital of the Netherlands. It was built in Italy in 2000 and is equipped with the latest navigation system and a safety system. An individual approach and high-quality service, characteristic of Holland America Line, have made this cruise company one of the most popular, and this is true of it as well.
The ship’s décor is made in a traditional maritime style; it is perfectly complemented by comfortable dark-wood furnishings. Most of the paintings on board are devoted to the history of Amsterdam and Holland America Line. Dutch heritage and traditions can be seen throughout the liner in art-deco-style works of art that once adorned the liner Nieuw Amsterdam, built in 1938. Public areas are decorated with works by contemporary artist Stefan Kord.
3 beautiful wrought-iron staircases lead to the center of the liner - the three-deck oval atrium (Atrium), where bars, restaurants, and shops are concentrated. Here, too, is the Astrolabe, which features constellations and planets, displays world time and time onboard.
In the evening, live music is always playing on board, and famous groups perform.

casual everyday wear for rest and sports activities,
clothing and shoes for excursions depending on the season and route features (sport and casual)
elegant attire for evening visits to restaurants and evening events: shows, the casino, clubs, bars (smart casual "more strict" and formal "strict").
During formal evenings, the following are welcome: cocktail dresses for women, suits with a tie or tuxedos for men (the latter can be rented onboard for an additional charge).
For evening events, the cruise company does not welcome staying in beachwear: shorts, flip-flops and sneakers.
