Overview - Holland America Line

Holland America Line is a recognized leader in Premium-class cruises. The company’s calling card has always been the highest level of service, superb stateroom and ship design  overall using natural materials and even live flowers.

All Holland America Line company ships  are comparatively small in size (the tonnage of the largest ship is 85 thousand tons), which allows  for a higher level of service and care onboard.

Holland America Line  is the only cruise company in the world that has organized its own school to train service staff.

To date, the company’s fleet consists of 15 ships offering cruises to the most popular destinations: the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Mexico, South America, the Panama Canal, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, as well as absolutely unique itineraries along the Amazon and Antarctica.

The Holland America Line cruise company places special emphasis on the development of itineraries and their schedules, giving its guests the opportunity to visit the most interesting ports of call, with extended time in port. In exotic destinations, this company always occupies a leading position when choosing an itinerary. Excursion programs are specially selected for each guest.

Holland America Line ships traditionally receive the highest ratings from the American Center for Sanitary Control of Seagoing Vessels. Since 2010, after an annual inspection of the sanitary condition of the company’s ships, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has awarded 100 points to Statendam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Ryndam, Veendam, while the sanitary condition of the Eurodam ship is rated so highly for the ninth year in a row. The checklist includes items such as food hygiene and sanitation, water cleanliness, overall cleanliness onboard, staff performance, etc.

This fact speaks to the very high level of service and sanitary reliability of Holland America Line and its ships.
