Overview - Silversea Cruises

Italy is the home and the world center of style, design, and everything that is called La Dolce Vita. In fashion, it is home to leading designers from Armani to Ferragamo; in the restaurant world, it offers the allure of great Italian chefs and exquisite Chiantis and Brunellos. In the ultra-luxury class of travel, it is home to the perfect cruise traditions of Silversea.

Silversea is a private cruise company owned by an Italian family of entrepreneurs. Founded in 1994, the company immediately became a pioneer in ultra all-inclusive cruise tourism and established the highest standards for luxury cruises. For example, Silversea offers its guests an amazing product called “personalized journeys”: you can choose your embarkation and disembarkation ports at your discretion-in essence, creating your own itineraries.

Today, the company’s fleet consists of eight boutique-type cruise ships, whose small size and capacity have allowed for an exceptional atmosphere of exclusivity and intimacy, as well as the highest level of personalized service. For instance, each cabin has an ocean view and its own personal butler.

No crowds during embarkation and disembarkation, a pleasant company of the upper circle on board, the ability to choose your dinner companions every evening at your own discretion-everything about a Silversea cruise makes it surprisingly enjoyable and relaxing.

Silversea regularly receives awards as the best and most innovative cruise company from leading industry publications in the travel sector, such as Condé Nast Traveller and World Travel Awards.

The cruise company’s motto is: “Every person is unique, so we make each journey of every one of our guests unique.” And that is true-each new day on board Silversea ships is like a blank canvas on which it is you who will draw your own luxurious getaway.

The SilverSea cruise company offers various themed cruises: culinary cruises, where you can learn culinary art from the chefs of the Relais & Chateaux association; card cruises, where you can take part in a bridge tournament; wine cruises, when lectures and tastings of the world’s best wines are organized on board.

Another feature of the SilverSea company is the organization of expedition cruises. The opportunity to cruise in luxurious surroundings to the most remote corners of the world: the Arctic, Antarctica, Central and Southern Africa, Greenland and Canada, the Galápagos Islands, Micronesia and Japan. On board, special lectures are held and research is conducted in natural conditions.

Regions of sailing: the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Baltic, Africa and the Middle East, Australia, Central America and the Caribbean region, South America, Alaska, Canada and New England, Transatlantic and Transpacific cruises, Expedition cruises, Asia, Round-the-world cruises.

Silversea Cruises offers:

1. Entertainment found only on large liners. Despite their small size, on ships of this cruise company there is practically everything that such giants as, for example, Royal Caribbean Int. offer: a large casino, an excellent show program, nightclubs, and a real city of pleasures-a Spa and fitness center.

2. Special advisors on board. On Silversea ships, a team of specialists works on local customs, history, and culture. With their help, you will immerse yourself in the culture of all the regions along the cruise route. The advisors will tell you about the main attractions that are a must-see, suggest where the best place is to buy souvenirs (and which specific souvenirs you should buy!), and where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. Their responsibilities include helping plan shore excursions and, sometimes, accompanying the group.

3. Visiting unusual places. Silversea offers two options for extended tours: go on an excursion in a port and join the cruise in another port after 1 or more days. Or book an excursion tour before or after the cruise. Among the unique journeys organized by Silversea are visits to the Taj Mahal, a tour to Antarctica, a safari in African reserves, a jungle tour of Borneo, and more.

4. Unique service on board. Each guest is assigned a personal butler who will help with any issues and ensure a comfortable stay on board. And all of this is available around the clock.
