One of the two new Oceania Cruises liners launched in May 2012. The ship was built at an Italian shipyard and, of course, stands out for its especially elegant and refined character-after all, Italy is considered a recognized benchmark in the world of fashion, design and the fashion industry. The ship’s main atrium is adorned with luxurious staircases featuring two spirals, embellished with crystals by Lalique, six crystal columns, and an Italian hand-crafted chandelier with 380 crystal spheres.

Riviera stands out favorably from the cruise company’s older ships with spacious cabins, a more luxurious interior, and a wide variety of restaurants, bars and public areas. According to the company itself, it is one of the most beautiful cruise liners created in the last 50 years. The cabin interiors were designed in collaboration with the well-known fashion house Ralph Lauren Home. More than 90% of the cabins have private teak verandas.

The Canyon Ranch SpaClub spa salon offers a wide range of services, including all kinds of massages, exclusive spa treatments, wraps, reflexology and aromatherapy. The complex also includes a dedicated pool for thalassotherapy.

For gourmets, Bon Appetit Culinary Center is open-an on-board center where culinary shows, master classes and cooking courses are held.

One of the most interesting bars that appeared on Riviera is the wine bar La Reserve by Wine Spectator, with an excellent selection of elite wines and professional sommeliers who will help you choose.

Several new restaurants have also been added on board, including the original French bistro Jacques, named after Oceania Cruises executive chef Jacques Pépin. The bistro menu features the chef’s signature dishes and classic French cuisine, including foie gras, frog legs, escargot, lobsters and duck. Another restaurant that is well worth a visit is Red Ginger-a restaurant of Asian cuisine with an outstanding selection of original dishes featuring duck, tuna, seafood and meat.

For guest entertainment, the liner offers a variety of workshops and courses. On Riviera, guests can enjoy creative activities such as photo editing, creating jewelry, painting pictures in different techniques and much more. In addition, during every cruise there are invited lecturers on board-specialists from different fields who share stories about the countries and cities along the cruise route.

On “Riviera” there is also a wonderful library and a spacious internet center.

The ship’s sailing regions are the Mediterranean Sea and the Caribbean basin. Any cruise on this liner is an excellent, almost personalized service, with friendly staff, comfortable conditions and unique, interesting itineraries.
