“Marina” - one of the two newest liners in the Oceania Cruises fleet, built in 2011 at an Italian shipyard. Interestingly, two coins were installed in the vessel-an American silver dollar and an antique Cuban peso-which, according to an existing superstition, are meant to bring luck to the ship and its passengers during the voyage. The liner’s interior is richly decorated with wooden and granite panels, Italian marble, beautiful carpets, and leather finishes. The company itself calls it “the most elegant liner created in the past 50 years.” The elitism and craftsmanship of top-class designers are evident throughout-starting with the incredible grand staircases created in Lalique studios and ending with Owner’s Suite accommodations, which were styled by Ralph Lauren Home.

Marina offers luxury at a new level, yet also preserves the warmth and comfort characteristic of Oceania Cruises liners of the older generation. Guests here will find not only the same atmosphere of relaxed ease from a private country club and the highest level of service on board, but also new amenities and opportunities.

Marina is ideal for lovers of great wine, high cuisine, and exclusive journeys. For the first time, Oceania Cruises presents the specialized wine restaurant La Reserve by Wine Spectator, where professional sommeliers will offer a special sort of wine to pair with each dish. The Bon Appétit Culinary Center culinary school is a chance to gain unique knowledge and practical skills in preparing a wide variety of dishes from top-class chefs.

On board this liner, a coffee shop, Baristas Coffee Bar, also appears for the first time-where you can taste the widest variety of coffee drinks and cocktails, as well as enjoy the world’s finest coffee varieties.

Ladies of all ages will be delighted by the ship’s updated spa. It has everything designed to improve your mood and relieve fatigue after a busy day: aromatic steam saunas, jacuzzis, acupuncture, Ayurvedic massage, rejuvenating, cleansing, and toning spa treatments, wraps, scrubs, Thai massage, reflexology, shiatsu massage, and much more.

In the liner’s main theater, wonderful shows in the style of Broadway productions are presented-and this, too, has become a novelty for Oceania Cruises cruise ships. The program includes several different productions, each one featuring incredible costumes, stunning voices, engaging stories, and beautiful music.

As before, voyages with Oceania Cruises are distinguished by their especially educational nature: passengers are offered lectures on a variety of topics related to the countries and cities along the cruise route. In addition to travel-focused themes, guests will be able to learn many new things-from photo editing to painting landscapes. For art lovers, Marina’s daily operation includes the Artist Loft Enrichment Center, a learning venue where everyone can learn how to create works of art.

The first liner built directly for Oceania Cruises became a giant leap forward for the company-right to the very top of the premium segment.
