The liner, built in 1998, has recently undergone a multi-million-dollar refurbishment and gained even more style, sophistication, and elegance. All staterooms have been furnished with new, stylish furniture, and the updated design is in calming tones. The ship’s public areas have also been refreshed. The sunset view has become even better thanks to the new Horizons Lounge panoramic windows, and the lounge’s new color palette with shades of seafoam, cocoa brown, and mint harmonizes beautifully with the clear sky, blue sea, and bright sunshine. The Canyon Ranch SpaClub has become even more welcoming thanks to original mosaic wall panels.
A new bar has appeared on board - Baristas, where guests are offered the finest coffee varieties and exclusive coffee drinks and cocktails. At Terrace Cafe, the menu has been updated, and on the upper deck of the liner, a new nine-hole golf course has been added.
Dining on board is available in several restaurants - the main Grand Dining Room with French continental cuisine, the Italian restaurant Toscana (classic Tuscan dishes), where a professional sommelier will recommend which wine variety pairs best with a particular dish, the upscale Pool Grill steakhouse, the “buffet” with a wide selection of appetizers and main courses at Terrace Cafe, and Waves Grill - a poolside grill bar offering a great choice of barbecue dishes, seafood, salads, and, of course, desserts, ice cream, and milkshakes.
In the updated Horizons Lounge, afternoon tea is held as before - the oldest tradition in cruise travel. Tea is served in the English way with the most delicate, aromatic pastries.
On board the liner there are five bars, each with its own unique atmosphere. Martini’s Bar features live piano music and a variety of cocktails - not only those made with the namesake drink. Polo Bar, located next to the grill restaurant, offers guests a range of first-class Scotch and whiskey varieties. At the Grand Bar, richly decorated with dark wood paneling and ceiling frescoes, - there’s a wonderful place for unhurried conversation over a glass of wine or a cocktail before or after dinner.
By the way, on the cruise routes of Insignia, juices, soft drinks, water, as well as coffee and tea are available to passengers in unlimited quantities. Special packages are available for beer, wine, cocktails, and strong alcoholic beverages, including a package with unlimited alcoholic drinks.
The liner has everything guests need to avoid boredom and feel as if they’re in a wonderful home-style country club: a library, an internet center, a casino, and a card room, a large selection of board games, a heated pool and two whirlpools, a solarium, a trekking trail, and theatrical performances, concerts, comedy shows, as well as various lectures and master classes.
