What do we know about Eataly on MSC World Asia?

Eataly specializes in modern Italian cuisine, regional dishes, and the use of high-quality ingredients. The restaurant on MSC World Asia will combine traditional Italian recipes with contemporary presentation.

One of the main features of the venue will be the open kitchen. Passengers will be able to watch the preparation of dishes and the work of the chefs.

The restaurant also offers:

  • a separate chef’s table;

  • a terrace with sea views;

  • regional Italian dishes;

  • classic recipes of Italian cuisine;

  • demosntrative preparation of dishes;

  • personalized wine selection.

To choose a wine, guests will be offered to visit the wine cellar at The Terraces Bar. This will make it possible to select a bottle according to the dishes ordered and their own taste preferences.

The second Eataly restaurant on the MSC Cruises fleet

For the first time, MSC Cruises introduced Eataly on board the MSC World America. After the launch of the new restaurant on MSC World Asia, the concept will be available on two ships in the World Class series.

For MSC Cruises, the partnership with Eataly is part of the strategy to develop onboard culinary offerings. The company is increasingly bringing in well-known restaurant brands and chefs to make dining a distinct component of the cruise experience.

At the same time, Eataly will not replace the ship’s main restaurants and buffets. It will be one of the many dining venues on MSC World Asia.

MSC Cruises has not yet announced:

  • whether visits to Eataly will be included in separate fares;

  • how much dishes or restaurant packages will cost;

  • whether advance booking will be required;

  • what benefits MSC Yacht Club passengers will receive;

  • whether existing dining packages can be used in the restaurant.

These conditions should be checked before booking a cruise or purchasing additional services.

More than 40 restaurants, bars, and cafés

On MSC World Asia, more than 40 restaurants, bars, lounges, and cafés will operate in total. Some of the culinary concepts are created by MSC Cruises together with international restaurant brands and culinary experts.

Passengers will have access to both venues included in the cruise fare and specialty restaurants for an additional charge. The exact list of included restaurants will depend on the selected fare, the stateroom category, and the packages purchased.

Before the cruise, it’s advisable to check the option to book restaurants via the MSC for Me mobile app or your personal account with MSC Cruises. During peak hours and on popular days at specialty restaurants, there may be no available seats.

MSC World Asia Itineraries in the Mediterranean Sea

The first MSC World Asia cruise is scheduled for December 4, 2026. The liner will operate seven-night journeys through the Mediterranean with the option to embark in multiple ports.

The routes will include:

  • Barcelona;

  • Marseille;

  • Messina;

  • Civitavecchia, a port for visiting Rome;

  • Naples;

  • Valletta.

The ability to start the cruise from different cities is especially convenient for European passengers. When choosing a port, it’s worth comparing not only the price of the cruise itself, but also the cost of flights, transfers, and accommodation before embarkation.

For Ukrainian travelers, the most convenient port may depend on the available flights from Poland, Romania, Germany, Portugal, and other European countries.

How will MSC World Asia differ from other liners?

MSC World Asia will become the third World-class ship after MSC World Europa and MSC World America. The ship’s design will combine open spaces characteristic of the series, modern entertainment areas, and design elements inspired by the culture and nature of Asia.

On board, there will also be a large entertainment program, theatrical productions, live music, family areas, children’s clubs, and various cabin categories. A separate premium complex, MSC Yacht Club, will offer private areas and additional services.

The arrival of Eataly strengthens the culinary component of the new liner and gives MSC Cruises another notable advantage over competitors in the Mediterranean Sea.
