Explorer of the Seas 5* - a 15-deck Voyager-class cruise ship, accommodating 3 114 passengers onboard. The first cruise took place in 1999, and in 2014 the ship was fully renovated.
A distinctive feature of the Explorer of the Seas 5 * is the University of Miami research laboratory located onboard. The laboratory staff study the processes occurring in the ocean, as well as conduct chemical analyses of water and air in the Caribbean. During the cruise, tours of the laboratories and seminars are held for the ship’s passengers.

Explorer of the Seas 5 * is one of the largest Royal Caribbean ships, based in Australia on the route: New Zealand - Australia - the South Pacific. From May to September, the ship is homeported in Seattle for cruises to Alaska.
