Documents, boarding, disembarkation and registration procedures

Documents you need to have with you:

• Passport - make sure that the visas are valid for the entire travel route according to the travel dates

• For tourists traveling with children - documents for transporting the child

• Cruise voucher

• Air tickets

• Hotel, transfer, and excursion vouchers

• Medical insurance

Transfer

You can get to the departure port by booking a transfer with our company, on your own, or by using the group transfers arranged by the cruise company.

Check-in on board

As a rule, check-in on the cruise ship starts at 12:00 or four hours before departure. The exact start and end time of check-in is stated in your cruise voucher. Plan your transfer times to the port carefully, as the cruise ship departs exactly according to schedule.

Online check-in

You can use online check-in for the cruise ship, which will save you a lot of time and simplify the procedure. To do this, you will need:

• your booking number, the cruise ship name, and the departure date

• In the “Pre-cruise online check-in” section, go to the check-in department of the cruise company directly, where you will enter your details and your booking number

Don’t forget to confirm the address and name of the seaport.

Luggage

Your luggage is handed over to the porters-employees of the cruise company-at the luggage drop-off desk. Luggage tags with your cabin number are attached to each piece of luggage; they are issued directly at the port. Passengers do not need to print or cut them out in advance. Porters receive tips of 2 euros per piece of luggage.

We recommend

Your luggage will be delivered to your cabin closer to the evening; the rest of the day after check-in, you will have free time. You can use the ship’s facilities, take a sightseeing walk, or sunbathe by the pool. We recommend bringing valuables and whatever you may need on board-laptops, tablets, a swimsuit, etc. Don’t forget about travel documents.

Embarkation

Check the embarkation rules and timing in advance, as each cruise company has its own procedure. During embarkation, you present your passport and cruise voucher. Instead of the passport, you receive a plastic card which, during the cruise, serves as your identification document, the key to your cabin, and a credit card to track onboard expenses. To obtain your cruise plastic card, you need to confirm your solvency in cash or enter the details of your personal payment card and confirm that funds are available in your account.

Priority benefits during embarkation

Passengers staying in “suite” category rooms, as well as members of the loyalty club, have the opportunity for priority embarkation and an expedited check-in procedure. All information must be confirmed with the cruise company staff at the port.

Disembarkation

On the evening before, you will be informed about the procedure and time for disembarkation. On the final evening of the cruise, you must hand in your luggage by 24:00: leave it in the corridor by your cabin, attaching the filled-out tags to the luggage. You will receive your luggage after disembarkation at the port terminal. Therefore, don’t forget to prepare clothes, shoes, and other necessary items for the next day.

On-board activity program

Every evening, the next day’s ship stay program is delivered to your cabin. It includes the time of arrival and departure in/from port, as well as the program of evening, sports, and entertainment events.

Safety drill

A mandatory procedure conducted on the first day after the ship departs. All passengers are gathered on the deck and given instructions on how to behave in an emergency situation. Carefully listen to announcements about the meeting point and the time of the drill.

Clothing

For relaxing on board during the day, as well as in ports, comfortable and practical clothing and footwear are generally recommended - a casual style. For evening events, show visits, and restaurant dining, a more formal smart casual (“more strict”) and formal (“strict”) style is recommended. In case of rain, we suggest bringing an umbrella; also, for visiting a number of excursion sites in port, such as churches or other religious places of worship, more closed clothing is required.

Mobile communication and Internet access

The quality of mobile service on board depends on the distance from the coastline, so sometimes during your journey there may be interference with receiving incoming calls. For Internet access on board, there are internet cafés where you can use internet services from your device. For emergency communication, satellite phones are used. There is also an option to send/receive e-mail or faxes. In addition, guests can connect to the onboard wireless Internet network. To do this, you need to purchase Internet packages. This can be done in advance or directly on board the ship.

Medical care on board

On board the ship, a duty doctor or nurse is always available to provide you with emergency assistance or the necessary medicines. However, unfortunately, there is no possibility on the ship to provide treatment that requires special equipment or medicines.

Payment forms on board

By providing proof of financial capability, you will be given an onboard deposit to pay for services on board. All payments on board are made using your onboard card, whether it’s paying for a cocktail at the bar or shopping. Proof of purchase or service order is a receipt with your signature. Keep receipts for closing your onboard account. On the last evening of the cruise, we recommend closing all your onboard charges at the check-in desk so as not to delay the disembarkation procedure.

Language of service on board

The official service language is English, but in most cases there is Russian-speaking staff on board. If it is important for you to have Russian-speaking representatives on the ship, please уточнюйте this information during booking. Shore excursions are, as a rule, conducted in English.

Animals are not allowed on board the ship.

Alcohol on board

If you purchased alcohol before the start of the cruise, then during check-in the alcoholic beverages are confiscated and returned after disembarkation; this also applies to alcohol in ports along the route.

Smoking on board

Smoking on ships is prohibited, except in specially designated areas on open decks.

Behavior in ports

After arriving at a port, it’s important to remember the boarding time and plan your time in the port. If you’re not sure you’ll make it back on board on time, it’s better not to go beyond the port limits. Also remember the time zone change and check the time so you don’t miss the ship.

In each cabin, there is a safe where you can store valuables and money. The cruise company is not responsible for items left unattended in the ship’s areas or in cabins.

Other features

Passengers with children

Children are allowed on board the cruise ship from six months old (on some routes - from 12 months) due to the absence onboard of a medical facility with a full cycle.

Passengers under 18 years old (on American cruise ships - under 21) are allowed on board with parents or a guardian, who must have all necessary documents to take the child abroad. If children are traveling with one parent, the consent of the other parent for taking the child abroad is required. The cruise company has full right to refuse to admit passengers on board the cruise ship without refunding the cruise cost in case of improper document handling.

Passengers under 18 are not allowed in the casino.

Please also note that some alternative restaurants allow table reservations only for adults.

Passengers with disabilities

All cruise ships have specially equipped cabins with bathrooms and wide door openings - for comfortable stays for passengers with limited mobility. The cruise company has the right to refuse to book a cruise for a passenger with limited mobility if the cruise ship does not have the necessary equipment or amenities for such a passenger. All information must be additionally agreed with the manager before booking the cruise.

Passengers who cannot meet their basic needs (to dress, eat) on their own must travel together with an attendant.
