Overview
Seabourn Cruise Line – a luxury-class cruise company whose ships sail around the world, offering both short seven-day cruises and exclusive 100-day or longer circumnavigation cruises. The company’s fleet consists exclusively of small vessels that can call at small ports, usually not visited by large ocean liners. These are five ships that can be divided into 2 groups. The ships in the first group, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend, were built in the late 1980s – early 1990s. In October 2006, Seabourn ordered three new luxury cruise ships. They were Seabourn Odyssey (built in 2009), Seabourn Sojourn (2010) and Seabourn Quest (June 2011).
By the end of 2016, the company plans to build a seventh ultra-luxury liner, which will be the ideal replacement for three older ships.
Regardless of the ship’s age, each one offers a wealth of options on board for a truly fulfilling stay for its guests: excellent spas, restaurants and bars, swimming pools and jacuzzis, libraries and internet centers, as well as numerous entertainment programs. The suites are equipped with everything you need and stand out for their enhanced comfort and convenience. The staff are consistently polite, attentive and professional. Having become a pioneer in the small-ship cruise industry in 1986, the company is still one of the leaders in this segment. 90% of the cabins on Seabourn liners are suites, cruises run on unique routes designed so that each region is visited at the most favorable time of year. The company’s staff have repeatedly received all kinds of awards in the fields of tourism and service, and the staff-to-passenger ratio on its ships is almost 1:1.
