Carnival Paradise has a very interesting history. Originally, the liner was built as a cruise ship where smoking was completely prohibited. Appropriate signs were placed on both sides and at the stern of the vessel. In 2003, the company decided to lift this ban in order to treat smoking guests more favorably, but the overall smoking policy on board still remains quite strict.

The short cruises of Carnival Paradise take you through wonderfully beautiful places - Baja, Mexico, and the Cayman Islands - and will appeal to both young people and travelers of an older age.

Despite the fact that this fairly old ship in the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet has not yet been refurbished (a full modernization is planned for 2015), the company is doing everything possible to bring its onboard infrastructure as close as possible to modern cruise ship standards. Special clubs for teens are already operating on board, a “adults only” area has been set up on one of the upper decks, and the restaurant menu has been expanded to include various options of classic steaks and seafood.

On board the liner there are three pools, as well as a water park with a huge Twister Slide water slide - three decks high! Both children and adults can easily lose track of time having fun on the water attractions. An essential feature of every pool is comfortable loungers and cocktail bars - of course, for adults only.

Carnival Paradise has everything you need for a healthy lifestyle - there’s a mini-golf field on the ship, a running track, a fitness center, steam rooms and saunas, a SPA salon, a massage room, a beauty salon, a volleyball court, and ping-pong tables. There are also plenty of ways to enjoy a calmer vacation - lots of board games, a video game lounge, a wonderful library, and satellite TV. Or you can simply relax in one of the ship’s cozy lounges or bars.

Every day you’ll be treated to entertaining programs and evening shows held in the large Normandie Theatre (spectacular Las Vegas-style shows) or in the smaller Queen Mary Lounge. Live music is available at America piano bar or United States piano bar. Fans of gambling will get a great deal of pleasure from visiting Majestic Casino - one of the largest venues of its kind on cruise ships.
