Description — Recife, Brazil

Recife (Recife) - a very beautiful and picturesque city, which is the capital of the state of Pernambuco. Recife is a thriving city located along sandy beaches north of Salvador, very close to the sea. Here there are the Beribê and Capibaribe rivers, whose waters flow into the Atlantic Ocean, islands, canals, beaches, and coral reefs. The city of Recife combines the character of ancient buildings from the colonial period with new buildings and skyscrapers. Today, Recife is the most important port and commercial center and is considered the second cultural capital of Brazil.

Recife is often called “Brazilian Venice” because, just like in Venice, there are many canals here connected to each other by beautiful bridges and narrow streets.
