The Costa Fortuna is beginning its final season in the Mediterranean after 23 years

Costa Cruises has confirmed that the Costa Fortuna has just begun its farewell season in the Mediterranean, its last as part of the Italian fleet after 23 years of service. The 103,000-ton ship, built in 2003, will be delivered to the Margaritaville at Sea cruise line in September of next year.
The season began in early April with a repositioning cruise from the Canary Islands and the first 14-day itinerary visiting Italy, Spain, France, Tunisia, Greece, and Turkey. Ports of call included Barcelona, Marseille, Savona, Civitavecchia, Messina, Izmir, Piraeus, and Tunis, with an overnight stay in Istanbul.
Starting in May, the Fortuna will shift its focus to the Eastern Mediterranean, offering seven-day cruises departing from Istanbul and Piraeus and visiting Izmir, Mykonos, Volos, Santorini, Heraklion, and Rhodes. Her final voyage under the Costa flag will depart from the port of Piraeus on September 4, 2026.
