Cruises from Lviv

Lviv has the most favorable geographic position among all the Ukrainian cities on this list: the nearest crossing points on the Polish border are the shortest drive from here, and the ground portion of the trip to Rzeszow or Krakow airports takes the least time compared with the rest of the country. This does not mean the cruise starts in Lviv: MSC, Norwegian, Costa, Royal Caribbean, or Celestyal liners depart from Barcelona, Venice, Genoa, Civitavecchia, or Piraeus just like for any other Ukrainian traveler. But it is exactly the short ground segment that makes the logistics simplest for people here: it is often possible to reach the border, pass control, and get to the airport within a single day, without an overnight stop on the road. This is especially convenient when the flight to Europe departs in the morning and there are no major delays at the border. Still, it is not worth counting only on the fastest scenario: queues at crossing points can be unpredictable, and it is better not to schedule a connecting flight right up against the moment of arrival at the border. A small time buffer, half a day or a night before departure, significantly lowers the risk of missing the flight and, as a result, missing the boarding of the liner.
