MSC Euribia Safely Transits Strait of Hormuz

MSC Cruises has confirmed that the MSC Euribia successfully and safely transited the Strait of Hormuz after departing from Dubai, enabling it to resume its seasonal itinerary in Northern Europe earlier than the company had originally anticipated.
Passenger and commercial maritime traffic in the Middle East was suspended earlier this year amid the fallout from the conflict with Iran, which spread throughout the region. According to a statement released by the cruise line over the weekend, the ship's passage was carried out in close cooperation with the relevant authorities, and the ship is now heading to Northern Europe.
Since the redeployment took place sooner than expected, MSC Cruises is officially resuming the previously canceled mid-May sailings. The cruise departing on May 16 from Kiel, Germany, and the May 17 departure from Copenhagen, Denmark, will now take place exactly as originally scheduled. In addition, MSC has confirmed that all subsequent voyages of the MSC Euribia will proceed as planned.
For travel advisors whose clients were affected by the previous cancellations, MSC Cruises noted that guests will be able to transfer their bookings to these resumed sailings if they wish. The cruise line announced that it will begin contacting affected guests directly this week to provide further information.
