The great comfortable cruise ship MSC Opera, launched in 2004 in France - the perfect place for a wonderful vacation. Elegant lines, refined design in an Art Deco style and modern facilities are able to satisfy even the most discerning tastes. In 2005 MSC Opera was recognized as the best ship in its class for its safety, elegance and service quality, and worthy of the prestigious Berlitz Guide award, previously received by three other vessels of the MSC fleet (MSC Sinfonia, MSC Lirica and MSC Armonia).
Most of the ship’s cabins are equipped with a balcony, so you can enjoy your fabulous, unforgettable journey even more fully.
In December 2013, MSC Cruises announced a renovation project for four LIRICA-class liners.
One of the world’s largest shipbuilding companies, FINCANTIERI, will take part in the 2-year program. The project completion is planned for 2015. As a result, on MSC Armonia, MSC Lirica, MSC Sinfonia and MSC Opera new entertainment complex features will appear, including children’s play areas for five age groups (including for very young children up to 3 years old), technological innovations, expanded areas for shops and the spa center, and almost 200 new cabins will be built on each liner (193 passenger cabins and 59 crew cabins).
Absolutely all cabins will be completely refurbished and redecorated; new beds and LCD televisions will be installed in them. In many areas of the ship, new carpet flooring will be laid, walls and ceilings will be repainted and redecorated, and furniture will be replaced.
In addition, each liner will have a Water Spray Park for children. More spacious shops will boast new interiors, and in the perfumery section there will be dedicated corners devoted to leading world brands, including Dior, Lancome and Dolce & Gabbanа.
MSC Opera renovation program schedule: from May 2 to July 4, 2015
